ETERNAL REASONS TO BE A LIFE-LONG LEARNER

As you consider beginning a program of learning, at least two of your concerns will most likely be whether you can afford it financially, and if you will be able to find the time.  Are these two concerns valid?  In truth...not really.  God will not lead us into something we cannot finish. The real question is whether we are willing to pay the price and invest the time. If we are, and God is leading, cost and time will be no barrier.

In fact, it is obvious that God actually expects His children to be life-long learners.  Since the Word of God comes to us in the form of a Book, it is manifestly clear that God expects His people to be a learning (reading) people.  Formal study of the Word of God ought to always be rooted and grounded in the Scripture. If you love studying the Bible, you will find every course at Trinity a blessing.

People catch on to how much you know and understand the Bible.  The more you know, the more you can build on what you have already learned, and then pass it along to others. The history of Christian ministry demonstrates that God enlarges the field of service of those who have been willing to become untiring life-long students of His word.  God will use those who are willing to be "always prepared".

Consider these two powerful reasons to be a life-long learner:

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" (II Timothy 2:15 KJV).

"And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also" (II Timothy 2:2 KJV).

If you would teach others, you must yourself become a life-long learner. We can help to prepare you on both accounts, and the curriculum you will study will be good enough for eternity!

It's time to take the next step in God's plan for your life!

There is no time like the present to take your next step in God's plan for your life. A strong biblical foundation is essential for you to walk out everything God has planned for you. Training at the Trinity International Theological Seminary is just what you need! Don't pass up this amazing opportunity to attend Trinity!

The 7 Most Common Myths of Ministry Education and the Realities

Myth 1 – Formal ministry education is mostly for ministers.

Reality – All Christians are ministers. Churches are in just as great need of Biblically and theologically trained laypersons as they are clergy.

Myth 2 – I can study on my own, and learn just as much.

Reality – Yes, but have you? Formal study structures the learning experience for the best outcome. Scripture teaches that "iron sharpens iron," and being guided by experience sharpens the learning outcome.

Myth 3 – It will be too hard. It has been too long since I was in school.

Reality – You have really never stopped learning. You continue to read, and learn something new every day. Ministry education is reading and learning about the subject you love the most – the Word of God!

Myth 4 – Now is not the right time. I plan to start sometime later.

Reality – That sounds reasonable at first. The problem is, it keeps on being reasonable year after year. The Lord urges us to make the most of our time. So, who is it that keeps encouraging us to wait?

Myth 5 – Pastors are already so busy they just don't have the time.

Reality – It is true that pastors are busy! Additional ministry education actually saves time, and enriches the time saved. Through study, fresh insights are generated that enrich and empower the pastor's ministry.

Myth 6 – I am already on a tight budget, I don't think I can afford it.

Reality – Our tuition is affordable for most persons. Jesus taught that we have a heart for the things we treasure most. When we have a heart for something, we usually find a way to afford it. Besides, when the Lord orders something, He always sees to it that the bill is paid!

Myth 7 – I could learn more about the Bible, but I already know enough.

Reality – The more you know, the more God can use you in your present or future field of service, Remember the parable of talents?

Ready to cut past the myths? If yes, enroll in one of our programs.
