Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree

Get the prestige and credibility when representing yourself as a man of God.

Unfortunately, when you minister to people without a degree behind your name, people don’t take you seriously. For this reason, we are offering honorary degree credentials to deserving Christians with deep biblical knowledge. The prestige of being honored with this degree gives you credibility, it is not issued for employment purposes - it is honorary. An Honorary degree is not an earned degree, you did not earn it by completing the required hours and courses required for an earned degree. It is an honor being bestowed on you because we believe you have deep knowledge of the bible.

What is an honorary degree?

An honorary degree is an award that recognizes an individual's contributions to society, specific schools and the world at large. People who earn honorary degrees are typically those who make profound impacts on ministry, health care, economics, entertainment, politics, business, medicine and science. Most commonly, presidents, world leaders, celebrities, scientists and lawyers receive honorary degrees in recognition of any impactful work they contribute to the world.

An honorary degree is an academic award that accomplished professionals can earn without pursuing an education at a college or university. Colleges and universities often give honorary degrees to people who make a significant impact on a specific school and the world, either through a lifetime of service, commitment to improving the world or achievement in a certain field or industry.

What can you do with an honorary degree?

  • Having formal recognition as a person with a high honor.
  • Using the title "doctor" after stating your name.
  • Including on your resume under an "achievements and awards" section.

How do you qualify for an honorary doctorate of divinity?

The Honorary Doctorate Degree is conferred upon distinguished Pastors, Evangelists, Ministers, and other Christian Leaders or Public Servants who have made significant contributions in their respective fields or for the extension of God's Kingdom.

Why do schools give out honorary degrees?

Colleges and universities may give out honorary degrees for a number of reasons, including:

  • Gratitude: If a school alumnus or general donor has donated a significant amount of money to the school, the school may, in return, bestow upon them an honorary degree to thank them for their contributions.
  • Recognition: If a school notices that someone has made a beneficial impact on the school or the surrounding community, they may choose to recognize them with an honorary degree.
  • School pride: If an alum from a college or university completes significant accomplishments after graduating from their school, the school may choose to honor them with an honorary degree.

Different schools determine how individuals may qualify to receive an honorary degree. There aren't specific qualifications that individuals can meet to ensure they can earn one. Schools identify people who, in their own opinion, have made significant impacts on society and deserve an honorary degree and use these opinions to select deserving individuals.

Schools have their own selection process that they adhere to when choosing who to give honorary degrees to and they may have rules regarding who may receive one.
